MEDICAL PRODUCT DESIGN (BIOENG1024)

CAPSTONE PROJECT

This semester long course introduces students to all methods and aspects of early product development: focusing on frequently utilized tools and techniques used in medical product design, conceptualization, and early prototyping.  In this class, we disassembled a real blood pressure monitor in order to understand the complexities that go into medical product design.  We used this orgnial blood pressure monitor as inspiration for our final product.

OBJECTIVE:

Fabricate a pre-defined medical product (blood pressure pump and cuff) from a series of parts that created using the techniques presented throughout the course.
